Recently, the leadership team behind Capital Recovery Corporation was asked to come on the Cherokee Business Radio X podcast.
Cherokee Business Radio X is a podcast hosted by Stone Payton designed to help organizations build community around the people who matter most to them by allowing them to become a Voice of Business for the niche they serve.
Stone and his team welcomed our CEOs Brandy and Bryan Rousselle, who chatted with him about what Capital Recovery does, what sets them apart from other collections agencies, and what they find most rewarding about the work and their team.
Follow along below to read a couple of key parts from the interview, and then click here to listen to the entire show on Cherokee Business Radio X’s website.
Stone: What are you finding the most rewarding about the work? What do you enjoy the most?
Bryan: …”Making the clients happy producing for them, the results that you get and at the same time working with someone and convincing them to work with you and to get on a payment plan to get them out because I’m sure it’s stressful, you know?”
Brandy: “I would definitely agree with Bryan, but I think the aspect I am enjoying the most right now since 2020 and the Pandemic is that we’ve seen technology blow up in this industry. And I just love seeing like all these different little facets that come in and help us provide better services for our clients…like artificial intelligence, you know, it’s causing me to stay on top of technology instead of getting behind, and I like that accountability from it.”
Stone: You have got to recruit and develop people that can take this same mindset and the same skill set to the marketplace. How do you recruit, develop, and retain these folks?
Brandy: One of the requirements that we have for our staff and our team is CPR certification. So that stands for Certified Patient Account Representative, and that’s another thing that separates us from our competitors. It starts in June and it’s pretty large; it’s like a 1000-page book. And then the test is in November. …We incentivize; and obviously, we will pay for the exam because it gives them that CPR certification. And a lot of times, they get to throw the acronym on the end of their signature, and they have that. …If they leave Capital Recovery to go somewhere else, they’re going to stand out among the other candidates out there.”
To Stone and the rest of the Cherokee Business Radio X team, thank you again for your time and for having Capital Recovery Partners on your show. We look forward to seeing you in and around Cherokee County!
